Welcome to Ruter. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application to manage candidates and generate email drafts.

2. Information We Collect

When you connect your Google or Microsoft account to Ruter, we request access to:

  • Basic Profile Information: Your name and email address to identify your account.
  • Authentication Tokens: Secure OAuth tokens required to interact with your email provider on your behalf.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your authenticated email connection strictly to create email drafts on your behalf. When you select candidates to send to a client, Ruter formats the data and attaches the necessary resume files, placing a ready-to-send draft directly into your email providers Drafts folder.

We do not automatically send emails without your explicit final action, and we do not read, delete, or monitor your personal inbox.

4. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

Ruters use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your OAuth tokens (access and refresh tokens) are securely stored in our protected database (Firebase Firestore) to maintain your connection. We do not store your account passwords. You can revoke our access at any time directly through your Google Account Security settings.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or email data to any third parties.
